CASTEL D’ARIO is a municipality in the Mantua province. It was the birthplace of Tazio Nuvolari (16 November 1892 - 11 August 1953), auto and motorcycle driver of international fame. In Castel d’Ario you can taste a good risotto. In effects, this is the traditional dish of the area, cooked at 'pilota' style or 'in grains, with addition of 'tastasal', salty meat of pig, or 'pessin', small fishes grown in the rice fields and fries. The all accompanied by a good glass of wine Lambrusco.
